We currently have 11 Covid Positive residents isolated on Maple and 6 other symptomatic residents isolated.
We remain in enhanced respiratory surveillance in Birch with 1 covid positive resident.
Enhanced Infection Control Measures at this time include:
- Increased hand hygiene
- Increased Personal Protective Equipment audits and hand hygiene audits
- Twice daily symptom screening on Maple and Birch unit
- Staff cohorting where possible
- Mandatory N95 masks and Eye protection at all times on Maple
- Eye protection and surgical masks on Birch
- No general Visitors and only 2 essential caregivers at a time in the Maple home area
- Twice enhanced cleaning of high-touch surfaces.
- NEW-When leaving Maple, please change your N95 masks to surgical masks.
- NEW-Disinfecting station for your goggles outside of Maple

MAHC is excited to hold a series of six (6) in-person Community Open Houses from January 16 to 21, 2023, and virtual sessions on January 23 and January 25, 2023. At these sessions we will:
- Update you on the planning journey and our progress to date
- Explore land options in Bracebridge for a new location of the SMMH Site
- Discuss preliminary criteria for choosing the best location
- Answer your questions and invite your feedback
