As we move into summer, our team will continue to monitor temperatures and extreme conditions to ensure that we are preventing and mitigating the risk factors and symptoms associated with excessive heat. Our home has air conditioning throughout including the resident bedrooms and we continue to complete preventative maintenance on the equipment to maintain good working order. We also follow the attached policy to ensure we monitor and react to any heat-related symptoms we might see.

Family Councils Ontario

In honour of National Indigenous History Month (June) and National Indigenous Peoples Day (June 21), we encourage everyone to celebrate by attending the first-ever traditional Powwow being held in Muskoka on June 29 and 30, 2024!

See Muskoka Through Our Eyes is a historic event that invites everyone to join together and experience the beauty of a Powwow.

The event takes place in Annie Williams Park in Bracebridge, and activities include traditional singing and dancing, Indigenous craft and food ventures, a speaker series, and more!

The event is an opportunity for all of us to gather and learn about the rich cultural traditions and heritage of Indigenous peoples.

Breaking the chain of infection and keeping everyone in the home safe and healthy is so important. This is an important reminder to please ensure you are sanitizing your hands when entering and exiting the home and while working with the residents. Please follow the 4 moments of hand hygiene. (see picture below)

For residents in a basic room (sharing a washroom) - if your Notice of Assessment for 2023 hasn't been handed into the Administration Office, please do so as soon as possible so we can complete the rate reduction application for the July 1st cycle for eligible residents.
