2026 promises to be an exciting year as the new Fairvern Long Term Care plans to open this Fall. Our residents will transition to their new Home and the new Home will be able to welcome many more residents from our community who have looked forward to moving to Fairvern’s new state of the art facility.

As a result, more volunteers will be needed to support Fairvern’s increase in capacity. First, let me wish you and your loved ones all the very best this Holiday Season. We are deeply grateful for your support of Fairvern over the past year and look forward to all the exciting things ahead in 2026. The new home is on track to welcome Residents in the fall, and our team is already working hard to prepare for that special time.

I warmly invite you to join our Monthly Town Hall meetings, where important updates and information about the new home and our move are shared. These are held on the second Wednesday of each month, from 3:00 to 4:00 pm, both in person and virtually. Please reach out if you have any questions.

Second, due to increased levels of respiratory illness, Fairvern is asking all staff and visitors to wear a mask when with Residents. Proper hand hygiene should also be practiced by using the alcohol-based hand rub when entering and again when leaving the home. We kindly ask that family members and caregivers avoid visiting if you are feeling unwell, even with mild symptoms. Our shared goal is to keep Residents and Staff healthy throughout the holiday season and into the new year.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
