July 8 2026 1st Floor Outbreak

Good Afternoon,

Public Health has placed First Floor at Fairvern in enteric outbreak effective today Wednesday, July 8 2026.

Residents who are experiencing symptoms have been isolated as well as their roommates.

We have implemented measures to reduce the risk of transmission. Including:

  • Increased monitoring of residents and staff for symptoms
  • Enhanced cleaning and disinfection
  • Use of appropriate personal protective equipment
  • Cohorting of Residents to their respective floors
  • We are working closely with Public Health and will provide updates as soon as information becomes available.

We are requesting that you perform hand hygiene (hand washing or use of alcohol-based hand rub) regularly when you visit, especially upon arrival and leaving the home. Please only visit with your loved one and follow posted infection control measures. Please do not visit if you are feeling unwell or are ill.
