Redevelopment Update
Progress continues on our new home and I encourage you to take a drive by 11 Paisley Avenue.
Painting continues as well as flooring installation
Framing is almost complete on the main floor
Building systems commissioning is being planned
Skylight has been installed in laundry area
Main passenger elevators are being installed
Main entrance canopy is being completed
Childcare construction has begun
Schedules have been created and staff are reviewing and choosing what they will work
Current date for completion is October 6, 2026.

Parking Lot Clean Up
Please note that a contractor will be on site on Saturday, May 9 in the morning to complete parking lot sweeping.
· The front parking lot will be cleaned first, beginning at approximately 9:00 AM
· The back parking lot will be cleaned afterward

Community Highlights
In April, we proudly celebrated Earth Day by taking part in a community clean-up initiative. Residents and staff worked together to tidy the Fairvern front area and Mountainview Road, collecting a very full bag of garbage! To celebrate our efforts, everyone enjoyed some delicious cupcakes—a well-earned treat.
Supporting a Meaningful Cause
We are excited to participate in our 2nd Annual Alzheimer’s Walk on May 14 at 2:00 pm. Dementia impacts many of our residents, making this cause especially close to our hearts.
We encourage everyone to consider making a donation—contributions will be accepted until May 31. Our fundraising goal is $200.

Friends of Fairvern Baking
The Friends of Fairvern freezer, located at the rear of the Rose Room (1st Floor Dining Room), has been restocked with a delicious variety of:
· Chicken Pot Pies
· Roast Beef Pot Pies
· Bumbleberry Pies
· Raisin Pies

On Monday, May 11, we will also be baking fresh:
· Apple Pies
· Rhubarb Pies
· Strawberry/Rhubarb Pies
We are pleased to offer both large pot pies and smaller portions, perfect for individuals or those with lighter appetites.
If you are new to Fairvern or haven’t purchased before:
· Simply select your item from the freezer
· If paying cash, place your payment in the black cash box mounted on the wall to the right of the freezer
· Pricing for all items is clearly posted on the outside of the freezer

Legion Spring Market Success
At the Huntsville Legion Craft & Vendor Market on April 19, we’re proud to share that a total of $2,199.25 was raised!
