Redevelopment Update
Construction continues to progress steadily.Drywall installation is being completed in the main-floor administrative spaces and throughout the atrium.
In the courtyards, curbing is being laid out in preparation for upcoming concrete work, while the parking lot is being prepared for the asphalt base installation.
Inside the building, millwork is being delivered, and bathroom vanities are being installed in resident rooms.
Kitchen equipment installation is also underway in the home kitchen serveries, bringing these spaces closer to completion.
The project remains on track for completion in early December 2026. Following occupancy preparations and Ministry of Long Term Care inspections and licensing, we anticipate residents will begin moving into the new home during the first quarter of 2027.
We look forward to sharing further updates as construction advances toward the finish line.
Offices Moves
There have been some changes to work locations at Fairvern.
Please note the following:
Robyn Lawryk, Social Worker, has moved to Mary Woodruff’s office on the first floor.
Mary Woodruff has moved into the Business Office with Debbie Biliko.

Friends of Fairvern Baking
The Friends of Fairvern’s freezer located at the rear of the Rose Room (1st Floor Dining Room) is stocked once again with a variety of Fruit pies such as Strawberry/Rhubarb, Rhubarb, and Raisin
**For those who are new to Fairvern or have not purchased our baking before, all you need to do is take your choice from the freezer and if paying cash, leave your money in the black cash box mounted on the wall to the right of the freezer. Prices for the different types of pies and tarts are posted on the outside of the freezer.
**E-Transfer Payments for our baking is also possible by sending it by email to: Friendsoffairvern1982@gmail.com
All the money raised goes towards enhancing the Residents’ lives so please think of The Friends’ baking when you’re planning your next get together.
