The Resident Influenza Vaccine Clinics will be taking place Wednesday October 4, 2023 through Friday October 6, 2023. Please ensure that you return any calls that you receive related to consent for vaccination so that we are prepared to vaccination those that wish to receive their influenza vaccine. If you have any questions please reach out to, Laura MacBrien at ext. 4805

Also, COVID booster vaccines continue to be offered to residents based on the schedule from Ontario Health. Staff will contact you if your loved one is due for the vaccine and not able to consent for themselves.

The team continues to work on the Cedar Home Area Courtyard. There will be another crane lift Tuesday September 19, 2023 starting at 9:00 am. During this time, again ensured that residents were out of the areas listed below for both Cedar and Birch home areas. There was signage in place and staff monitored the area during this time. Then team is planning on moving to the Ok Home Area starting at 10:00am on the same day. This means that residents for both Oak and Maple will need to be out of the posted areas on the units for the time listed below. See below for more information.

During this time, we will need to have residents out of the areas listed below for both Cedar and Birch home areas. There will be signage in place and staff monitoring the area during this time. Time frame: 10am to 4:00pm (approx.)

Cedar Home Area 211- 221 (could be a couple more rooms, watch for signage); plus the spa rooms the activity room

Birch Home Area 711- 721 (could be a couple more rooms, watch for signage); plus the spa rooms the activity room

In collaboration with Public Health, the Oak Respiratory Outbreak has been declared over as of September 10, 2023. General visiting has returned to normal at this time. Thank you for your patience as we worked through this most recent outbreak.

Please be aware that our registered staff will be contacting SMD/POAs for residents that are not able to provide their own consent for the influenza vaccine.

The old generator has been removed from the home and a temporary one in place until we have our new generator delivered on Thursday September 14th, 2023. The new generator will power the entire home at 100% if we have a power outage. Watch for the team to deliver this wonderful upgrade on Wednesday!
