Weekly Project Update - August 24

Work planned week of August 24 to August 28

• Crews will begin work on wiring and installing light poles for the pedestrian crossing at Bay Street and Muskoka Road 117
• Pave the multi-use trail around the roundabout
• Ditching (shaping and clearing roadside ditches to help rain and melting snow drain away from the road properly) around the roundabout will continue

Work completed week of August 17 to August 24

• The boulevard was paved from University Street to Bay Street, south of Muskoka Road 117
• Installed signage for the pedestrian crossover and roundabout
• Rest areas prepared for concrete work, including setting up wood forms and placing gravel
• Crews finished installing the remaining light pole bases at the roundabout
• Installed a fire hydrant on University Street

Community Impacts

• Motorists can expect brief single-lane closures while paving is underway. Please note, paving is weather dependent and dates may change.
