What’s next?
The timelines for the project have been adjusted. Construction on Bay St. between Sarah St. and Canada Post (101 Bay St.) is now scheduled for the 2026 construction season. This decision has been made following a thorough review of the current progress and site conditions. While steady advancement has been achieved on the project, unforeseen challenges, combined with seasonal constraints, have impacted the overall pace of the project.
Work from Canada Post to Gull Lake Park will also be rescheduled, with an updated timeline to be confirmed once a new contract is awarded and permits are secured. This final stage of the project will complete the transformation through the downtown/commercial section of Gravenhurst.
Further updates will be provided through this project page as the project team works towards finalizing the revised schedules. The project team remains committed to working diligently with all partners and the public to minimize disruptions while delivering high-quality results that meet long-term needs. The work completed to date sets the foundation for the remaining work.
