September 2026 - OPA 61 Recommendation for Adoption

We’re pleased to share that Report CPS-10-2026-6 – Public Engagement Outcomes and Adoption of Official Plan Amendment 61 (Five-Year Comprehensive Muskoka Official Plan Review).


The report provides an assessment of:

  • Additional public engagement sessions focused on floodplain mapping and the proposed policies;
  • Comments and feedback received through the process; and
  • The final proposed changes to the Muskoka Official Plan following consideration of all feedback received; and
  • A recommendation for adoption.


The report will be presented to the District of Muskoka’s Community and Planning Services Committee on September 24, 2026, as part of the ongoing Muskoka Official Plan Review.

Interested parties and members of the public are encouraged to review the report and the final recommended version of OPA 61.
