Component 3: Environmental Resiliency and Component 4: Lake System Health Policies

November has been a busy month for the Muskoka Official Plan Review. Staff have brought forward reports, which include draft policies, on the following components:

As such, a notice of a Non-statutory Public Information Centre and Open House will be held to obtain feedback on the proposed amendments within both component reports. The Public Information Centre will be an informal opportunity for members of the public to engage with District Staff and learn more about the proposed amendments and associated District initiatives. The Open House will be a more formal engagement event with presentations and a question and answer period with District Staff and supporting consultants.

Public comment on the revised policy sets are currently open. The commenting window will be open until the proposed amendments are brought forward to CPS Committee for initial approval, however written comments are able to be submitted and considered until formal adoption of OPA 61.

Archaeological Master Plan Update

Although no longer part of the Muskoka Official Plan Review Workplan as detailed in this report, an information report of progress to date on the Archaeological Master Plan Update was brought forward.
