August 24 Project Update

Work planned week of August 24 to August 28
Crews will continue:

  • Replacing the watermain between Highway 60 and Rogers Cove Drive,
  • Replacing the storm water structures and sewer between Highway 60 and the area south of Rogers Cove,
  • Replacing the storm sewer and reconstructing the road base north of Rogers Cove Drive

Work completed week of August 17 to August 21

  • Watermain replacement work continued.
  • Traffic lanes were shifted to allow for watermain work to being on the west side of King William Street.
  • Challenging ground conditions, including large rocks and boulders, were encountered during excavation. Rock-breaking activities were required to allow the work to proceed.

Community impacts

  • Drivers may experience delays at the Rogers Cove Drive intersection as work on the southbound side of King William Street continues and extends through the intersection
  • Traffic patterns have changed through the project limits. Please follow all posted signage and traffic control measures. Please remember all business remain open and accessible within the project limits.
