Suspect Outbreak 1st Floor

Dear Fairvern Stakeholders,

Public Health has notified us that Fairvern has been declared in a suspect outbreak on First Floor due to recent symptoms reported within the home. At this stage, this designation means that Public Health is monitoring the situation closely while additional information is gathered. It does not confirm an outbreak, but it does require us to implement precautionary measures to reduce the risk of transmission. Families of Residents who are experiencing symptoms have been notified and Residents have been placed in isolation.

Our team has already activated enhanced infection prevention and control protocols, including:

• Increased monitoring of residents and staff for symptoms
• Enhanced cleaning and disinfection
• Use of appropriate personal protective equipment
• Temporary adjustments to group activities

We are working closely with Public Health and will provide updates as soon as more information becomes available or if the status changes. We are reminding you that mandatory masking is in effect while visiting and requesting that you perform hand hygiene (hand washing or use of alcohol based hand rub) when you arrive at the home and when you leave.
