Resident Rights
7. Every resident has the right to form friendships and relationships and to participate in the life of the long-term care home.
8. Every resident has the right to share a room with another resident according to their mutual wishes, if appropriate accommodation is available.
9. Every resident has the right to meet privately with their spouse or another person in a room that assures privacy.
Resident Updates
For updates on residents, please note that staff are unable to give resident information in communal settings due to privacy and confidentiality reasons. They are happy to provide updates in areas that are protective of residents’ privacy. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
Fairvern 43rd Anniversary
Please join us the afternoon of August 14 at 2pm to celebrate Fairvern’s 43rd anniversary.
There will be games, music and refreshments.

Donations for the Activation Department
Activation is looking for donations of new, unopened bottles of nail polish for our programming as well as canning jars and lids. If you are able to donate please drop these off at the Business Office. Thank you for any assistance that can be offered.
Friends of Fairvern
Friends of Fairvern Baking
Remember to avail yourself of the homemade baked goods from the Friends Pie Freezer at the back of the Rose Room. Right now, there are freshly made Strawberry, Rhubarb, Bumbleberry and Strawberry/Rhubarb pies.
We have regular size pies and some smaller pies.
Coming soon: Wild Blueberry pies
Remember all you need to do is take your choice from the freezer and if paying cash, leave your money in the black cash box mounted on the wall to the right of the freezer.

All the money raised goes towards enhancing the Residents’ lives so please think of The Friends’ baking when you’re planning your next get together.
Annual Tag Day
Just a reminder that the Friends of Fairvern Tag Day is being held on Friday August 1st, 2025, at various locations around Huntsville and in some of the surrounding towns. Please consider supporting the Tag Day by donating if you see one of our volunteers. If you prefer to donate by e-transfer this is possible by emailing:

Money raised by The Friends of Fairvern is used to support the residents of Fairvern
Armour, Ryerson & Burks Falls Agricultural Society
The Friends of Fairvern will have a Bake Table at the Armour, Ryerson & Burks Falls Fall Fair being held on Labour Day, Monday Sept. 1st in Burks Falls. Along with baked goods, we will be selling dishes of local strawberries and ice cream and homemade butter tarts and ice cream. Thank you to Aaron Shaw at Taylor’s Strawberry Farm for providing us with our yummy strawberries.
Red Cross Blood Donor Clinic
Our volunteers will be providing homemade cookies at the Blood Donor Clinic being held at Faith Baptist Church on Monday August 18th. We’d like to take this opportunity to encourage everyone who is able to donate blood to put this date on your calendar.
