The District is starting its update to the SWMP which is a long term plan on how waste should be managed within our community. We are looking for your input on the level of ambition the District should be pursuing as we enter Phase 2 of the Master Plan.

Personal information is being collected pursuant to Section 28 of the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (MFIPPA) and will be used for the purpose of garnering public input into the Solid Waste Master Plan and to respond to inquiries regarding this process. Comments and input provided may form part of the project documentation and therefore be subject to disclosure pursuant to MFIPPA or other applicable legislation. Phase 1 - Key Themes

Through Phase 1 of the project, we received 2,000 survey responses and attended 7 community pop-up events. This resulted in 3,313 visitors to the project page on Engage Muskoka and 57,000 views on social media.

From this engagement, we heard the key themes for the project as indicated by the public are:

Phase 2 Engagement Activities
